CITY-WIDE PRAYER

Making Every Effort to Keep the Unity of the Spirit

Providing consistent prayer gatherings that become part of the life of the Church in the city is one of the most significant ways to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit.” These rhythms weave the Body together, help us become the house of prayer God designed, and keep us aligned with His mission to bring peace and flourishing to our cities.

Establishing City-Wide Rhythms of Prayer

Across our cities, God is stirring His people to pray—not just for their own congregations, but for the flourishing of entire communities. When the Church prays together, citywide, we embody our shared calling to seek the peace and prosperity of the places where God has sent us.

Establishing regular rhythms of citywide prayer helps unite the Body of Christ around Jesus’ mission in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and civic life. These rhythms become sacred spaces where relationships deepen, leaders are strengthened, and the Church learns to listen together to God’s heart for the city.

Citywide prayer isn’t a single event—it’s a way of life. It takes shape through consistent gatherings that anchor prayer in the life of the Church throughout the year.
